About us

Deep Plough Agriculture Cooperative Society is a youth-led cooperative in Pumula North, Bulawayo, helping farmers and communities grow through training, innovation, and access to markets. Below you can read our story, our achievements, and what drives us forward.

Founded in November 2024, Deep Plough Agricultural Cooperative Society Limited is a dynamic, youth-driven initiative based in Ward 17, Pumula North, Bulawayo, Zimbabwe. Officially registered on January 28, 2025, under Section Seventeen of the Cooperative Societies Act Chapter 24:05 (Registration Number 9666), we are committed to transforming African Agriculture through innovation and sustainability. Led by passionate youths, we are building a brighter future for our members and communities.

Our Journey & Achievements 

• Bulawayo Business Awards - Winner of Sustainable Development Goal Award , recognizing our Contribution to climate action and Food Security. This recognition has since opened doors to new partnerships and strengthened our credibility with funders.

• City of Bulawayo Recognition - Appreciated for our Participation in the Research and innovation Seminar , where we showcased practical solutions for resilient communities.  This gave us valuable visibility with local government and fellow innovators.

• Awarded seed funding from the Women Institute for Leadership Development (WILD), in collaboration with the European Union, Say-What, and Save the Children, to initiate a mushroom farming venture and enhance value addition. This funding kick-started our mushroom production line, creating new income opportunities for members.

• Furthermore, through our collaboration with Zimtrade, we gained valuable export training through the Eagles Nest Program and excelled in the inaugural Eagles Nest Pitching Program, demonstrating our ability to compete internationally.
